That’s right, getting your children to take fitness seriously is up to you the parent. Why? Because statistics tell us that one out of three American children is overweight and eighty percent of them have overweight parents! I know I had a bunch of overweight relatives including my father who always struggled with his weight and I grew up wanting to be just like him; and I have. Now it’s up to me to break the cycle of not getting enough exercise and leading my kids and wife by example.
At first I thought it was hard but as time has gone by, I realize it has only been hard because I mad it that way. Instead of talking about what we should be doing I should have been doing and keeping my mouth shut. Once I started that, things started changing naturally and now we all exercise together and apart. We have made it fun and enjoyable and a part of the family routine each week and if I can do it I know you can too!
